🍟 The End of a McEra
First off, why is it so fun to McPrefix everything? What a weirdly powerful brand. Anyway, I believe that I have reached the end of my time as a McDonald’s Employee, and so I’m asking my shareholders if I should quit.
I wrote up the longer context here if you’re curious why it took six months to reach this point (maybe you think it should have been sooner? longer?) but the main points are that I feel like I’ve reached a local maximum in terms of what I can learn from working in fast food and I have a lot of new opportunities I’d like to pursue.
I will remain a proud member of the 1 in 8 Americans who have worked at a McDonald’s (still tempted to buy the jacket) and the bacon egg and cheese biscuit is my favorite sandwich (followed by the filet-o-fish).
📆 Coming Up Next
Aaron has already started working on some great integrations with the Discord, including a channel that you can only enter if you have 100+ shares. We’ll be looking at other integrations and more updates to the KmikeyM platform during Build Week which could be happening in late April.
I’m now working everyday on my presentation for my April talk. Thanks to shareholder Nick for including me and letting me talk about KmikeyM from a branding and business transparency perspective. This will be the first time I talk about how what I’ve learned being a publicly traded person could be useful for others and I have a LOT to say about that.
Later in the year I’m hoping to see one of my larger projects launch. It’s still in development but I’ve been working on it for two years now and I can’t wait until we can share it.
We also have a new board member and top shareholder with Douglas Dollars holding a 12% stake in KmikeyM. Congrats to Doug and I’m excited to kick off some board meetings!
