Last year I didn’t make much money, and this year is shaping up to be even less. And it’s been a difficult last few years for my partner (whose career was interrupted by the writer’s strike and the following slowdown in television development).
In short, it is past time for me to get a job.
I’ve been applying. But of the dozen plus applications I’ve sent out I’ve barely even got a rejection letter back. Morale is low and I’m struggling to feel like I have much value.
There are so many jobs on my LinkedIn Profile, going all the way back to the Army in the late 90’s. Not included on that list is the first job I ever had working part-time at McDonald’s during high school in Alaska. That job was one of the reasons I was excited to do the Hamburger Business Review podcast.
Now I’m thinking, why not go back to where I started?

And the coffee at McDonald’s is actually pretty good,
