Hello Shareholders!
First some major updates:
🚚 In the last update I mentioned “moving day” in reference to the migration from Slack to Discord which is funny because we just found out our landlord is selling the house we live in. So there will be another Moving Day coming soon…
🍔 We just recorded a new bonus episode of Hamburger Business Review with a special guest. Should be out soon on Apple Podcasts or whoever you listen.
🗳️ And most importantly, a new shareholder vote!

Back in 2011 I created VTAC, my Verified Trusted Authenticity Certificate. This started when I was working at Panic and the company was working to get an extended validation certificate.
I asked, "Why are we paying money and working so hard to get approved by an organization that none of our customers knows about?" and the answer was because then Safari would show the little green bar in the URL field. So I said, "Just pay me and I'll get a tattoo." And they called my bluff...
So I created VTAC, and they paid for “verification” and I got my first tattoo...
The second customer was shareholder Alex Mahan and to this day I have only two tattoos: "Panic, Inc." and "Alex Mahan."
But it’s 13 years later and the references to the extended validation thing are lost on most people. In an effort to update the concept I’m proposing an updated brand: MIKE, the Mark of Identity and Knowledge Endorsement.
I think a 'MIKE' could be presented a little less tongue-in-cheek and hopefully that would inspire more people to want to get a tattoo on my body, and I make more money (which I’ll need to help cover moving expenses!) and they don’t have to be green rectangles anymore. So many possibilities…
♠️ We also just had the April Shareholder Poker Tournament, and I’ll send out an update on the game next week for those that are curious.
🎧 Kathryn and I are being pretty vulnerable about the house stuff on 3 Minute Review if you’re interested in our short daily podcast. (And we do a weekly 10 Minute Review on Patreon.)
🍟 I put in my notice to leave McDonald’s after the last vote and then on my very last day the general manager handed me a wonderful “Outstanding Crew Member of the Month” award. I was very moved and it was so weird to get this on my literal last day.
